smokleless (stopping)

After using tobacco for over 20 plus year I have now stopped. I was a smokeless user and I sure had a time with quitting. Id say I am still in the process of quitting right now.
I started using the patches and ANY sort of candy I can get my mouth on. Yes, I have put on some weight. But, being free from this addition is what it is all about.
I am at the 6 week mark or near the end of step 7. I hope to be free at the start of next year.

Hi Mudhound

Congratulations on 6 weeks as a non-smoker. That is excellent :-)

I'm on 3 1/2 weeks quit now and it seems to be getting easier, I'm suffering with the sore throat at the moment :-( I suppose that's a sign that my body is mending the damage I have done over the past 20 yrs of smoking. I'm also on the patch & inhalator which is working wonders for me.

Keep up the excellent work and keep us posted on your quit

You are doing so great mudhound. How you feeling without any NRT? I'm at week 6 on Step 2 15mg, not doing too bad, I've been having the odd craving now and then but nothing I can't handle at moment. I've been reading the Allen Carr Easy way to stop smoking book, which seems to be helping alot. Here's to smoke free 2010. Keep in touch
