Have you tried nicotine lozenges? I'd think that might be quite effective for transitioning off of an oral tobacco. It still won't be easy but I'm sure it'll help.

Re: How to quit dipping tobacco

I dipped for 6 years. I tried many times to quit, most of my attempts lasted 6 maybe 10 hours. I finally decided i had to quit i read many stories on the internet and looked at many disguisting pictures. I dipped pouches for the last week and then dropped it cold turkey. After you make it a week, you will have no problems fighting the cravings. Your cravings will peek a week after no nicotine, then slowly fade away I have been clean for 3 months now. Once you quit and consider dipping again please read stories and look at some pictures of mouth cancer. good luck
