Well, I hit 3 weeks without a cigarette. Then, Friday night I went out with friends and ended up bumming a smoke off of an aquaintance. Boy, did I pay for that! It has taken me till today (Monday) to be able to breathe deeply again. I had no idea just how little air I've had as a smoker. Now, I can tell a HUGE difference!
I've decided to just move on. It was just a slip up. It has caused, I think, a few more cravings lately. Oh well, I'll deal
In any case, I'm beginning to forget to take my Chantix. So, I'm thinking about slowly weening myself off it. The major cravings are gone and now I feel more at the "maintenance" level. It's about good/bad choices and my choice to stay smoke free. Chantix has done all that it's going to do for me. It got me through the hardest part, at least. The rest is an active, daily decision I have to make.
So how is everyone else doing? The board has been quiet lately. It's got me worried!!
