Re: Cigarette adiction

I don't know if this is the best way, but I quit cold turkey on January 31st. It was the day before I needed to have surgery for gallbladder removal and I figured it was as good a time as any. This was after nearly 30 years of smoking, but I can honestly say I have never felt better, I also had to quit drinking coffee as for me the 2 went hand in hand. I would recommend if you do it this way, carry around a water bottle and when you get those inevitable cravings, take a sip of water, also walk as much as possible, lift weights, do deep breathing or yoga, you need to do whatever it takes to distract you from having to light that cigarette! It's not easy, don't get me wrong, but you can do it! People here on this forum will support you - good luck!
