I've been attempting to quit smoking for around a year now. Mostly, unsuccessful by either trying cold turkey and not being able to handle it or cutting down to rapidly and once again relapsing quite quickly.
Over the last few months I've slowly cut down to around 2 cigarettes per 3 or 4 days. I've been at this for a little while and don't know which next step to take. I'm afraid stopping completely from now will cause me to get irritated, grumpy and back into smoking a lot.
I just need some suggestions on a time-frame to cut down and quit and cigarette amount to reduce over this period.
