quitting smoking THE PATCH & THE GUM

I am quitting smoking (I used to smoke a pack to a pack and a half a day)

on Monday I only smoked 14
Tues I smoke 9
Wednesday I smoked 8 & started the nicotine gum and bought patches too

I know I’m not supposed to use them TOGETHER at the same time
but can I alternate?
like.. One day do the patch (on days I don’t want to use the gum) and the next day do the gum?

ALSO, any tips????

I quit 6 years ago and used the patch and it worked. I used it much longer than necessary because I felt like it was my security blanket.

I never liked the gum, when I tried it many years ago, it tasted horrible, was very hard and would give me sore jaws so I can't comment on the gum.

Maybe try the patch and regular sugarfree gum? Come to think of it, I still chew about 3 or 4 pieces of sugarfree cinnamon gum a day.

I really love being smokefree and am so glad I quit - this is coming from a 2 pack a day smoker who thought she'd never quit.
