friend quitting-going nuts - Smoking Cessation Message Board

hey-my friend hasn't smoked for 10 days-she called today and was in tears-said she had a bad day and couldn't stand herself-feels like she's going crazy-i told her it's probably from not smoking and hopefully it will go away soon-can anyone tell me how long she will feel so bad-i want to give her some idea and also encourage her

Did she quit cold turkey or did she use some sort of help like the patch? If not, she might want to consider going the patch or some type of aid for people who are quitting smoking. My aunt went on the patch. She said she would of never been able to quit if it was not for the patch.

she started off with the patch but quit using it because it didn't seem to help-today is day #11 for her-she just left and i can tell she has been crying again today-i told her to see a doc and see if he could give her something-she is so pitiful-hope she gets some relief soon-i'm afraid if she doesn't she's going to start back
