For Women: Hormonal changes due to quitting smoking?? - Smoking Cessation Message Board

For all you women out there who have quit, or anyone who knows anything about this...
Does your hormonal balance change when you quit smoking? I know cigarettes are an 'anti-estrogenic', meaning (I think), the supress estrogen in your body. Since I quit does this mean I will have more estrogen circulating and will this affect my moods and periods? Any experience or info will be helpful - thanks.

I actually used sex as a tool to help quit smoking..Hubby wants me to start again just to quit! But I have had hormone problems for years and noticed after I quit my sex drive came back...it actually increased as the smoking decreased. But i used sex to reduce my stress levels relating to the cessation. So quit smoking get horny? lol sorry!
