Hi Jmess,
Sorry to hear you're in so much pain! I really don't have any advice for you at this point, but I will say it's a good idea that you're scheduled for an MRI. It sounds to me like you have some potential issues in your cervical or thoracic region as a result of your injury. The numbness is a tell-tale sign of nerve impingement. Please post the results of your MRI as soon as you know what it shows, then maybe others can offer advice, or share their experiences with you.
I'm dealing with cervical and thoracic problems now, for about 5 weeks, so I know the pain you must be in. I'm going in for a steroid injection Friday to see if it will help. I, too, have numbness in parts of my arm, and weakness in my grip in that hand. I already had a cervical injection, which did nothing, so now I'm going for a thoracic one. I hope it works!
Keep us posted, and try to stay positive. You have friends here that you've never met that are a wonderful support system! You're doing all the right things it seems to take care of yourself, so hang in there my friend!!
Sincerely,
CLJones64
