My sister had this surgery a year ago, and leads a perfectly normal life. She works every day, and takes care of her husband, house, and children. She is pain-free.
I had the surgery this past December, and I, too, am leading a normal life. I am pain-free (although I do get sore if I do too much in one day -- probably because it's so soon after surgery). I am grateful the problem was found and corrected as soon as it was . . . so I didn't have to wait and suffer for too long.
