Hi there Donnakay,
I am glad you feel okay. I can just imagine. My chiro. told me to wear my collar out at the mall and functions till into the 3rd to 6th month span as nobody can see the extensive surgery we have all endured and the incredible fragility of our spines right now.
I have been careful but its others - like your experience - I worry about.
I can tell you a gentleman friend of a friend had same surgery last year and his job was working on the Ford plant assembly line. He had just gotten back to the job when one of the guys smacked him on the back "hello". He apparently

had major repercussions and since has had to quit work and ended up settling for a long term disability. My friend offered for me to call and chat with him but something kept preventing me from calling him after I heard this as I knew in my heart I had to have this surgery no matter what someone else's negative or positive experience was. Anyway, this poor guy has not had an easy road of it because of that smack to his upper back.
The only thing I read is that one guy from having had his head dropped on the table during the post op xray at the hospital has displaced his neck and been left with a bony protusion into his throat. He says its horrible and the surgeon's are awaiting to see if he can live with it. Some healthcare people are so rough eh!
Well you take care and maybe it wouldn't hurt to create some kind of sign, either a soft collar around your neck in crowds or a large flashing sign saying DONT TOUCH ME OR YOU ARE DEAD.
ha ha
See ya. Nero
