Okay, I think that all went well but I am hurting so much in thte neck and hip area, I can't get confortable and not too sure how to make due with that but I am trying. I think that I am developing Broncontitus, b/c I am coughing up stuff and it is killing my hip area. I know that I am not making too much sense but can't sort the thoughts out into where I need them so please bear with me. I go see the DR's on wed and thurs, and they will let me know how things are going but I feel ok other then the pain
you just had surgery and the recovery period for everyone is different
did your doc send you home with pain meds ? if so take them go easy on yourself do not over do
first few weeks throat may be sore ( from breathing tube) you may notice knots on the side of your head ( from traction during surgery ) that has its own brand of headache pain and sorness
the graphing place will be tender and scars take time to heal
if you thumb through some of the posts on this board and back pain board
there will be some good guidlines about the up coming weeks and in some cases months
be kind to yourself, one moment at a time,
and you will be in our good thoughts
just exactly where was your surgery at?upper or lower spine? And how long ago was it performed?Marcia

Surgery was on the 4th of August, I had an ACDF C4 C5 C6 abd C7 area. my hip is killing me and I can't lie on the left side w/o pulling on all my muscles on the right. The right side is where they took the 2in bone from. Little by little it gets better but man it hurts to move in different directions. I am now able to move my neck right and left, but not so much up and down. My throat feels like I have something in it. I am glad I had the durgery though
