Question on burning sensation - Spinal Cord Disorders Message Board

Hello all,
I had a ACDF with instrumentation on May 22, 2003. It was on C3-C6. My question is sometimes my neck will get hot and only my neck. No pain, just a weird feeling. Anyone experience this?

Hi, I have not had just the neck thing as of yet(surgery c6-7 Aug 13th) but oddly enough one ear for about 3 nites running would get all red and hot,and last night when I kinda scooted my back over in my recliner, it felt like the skin on my back was ripping(yikes!) did not care for that one bit!I guess we are in for all kind of wierd sensations.Diana

hi, I also have a burning sensation on the back of my neck in the area that what fused, and I had surgery 9/3/04, hopefully it will go away since it s been only a little over a week, may its a reaction to the havy tape after surgery. Take care and I hope you feel better, Martina
