Hi. I am new here and I was reading some posts and I wanted to see if anyone has had the same problems i have been experiencing. I have had 2 back surgeries, L 5 and acf on C6&7. Both went ok. They did the acf with a cadaver disc no hardware, just glued it in. A couple months after surgery they did several x-rays and my spine started curving forward like this ( They put me in an Aspen brace for about 2 months and the spine got a little better. This was all 2 years ago.
Since Aug of 04 I have been experiencing double vision in the left eye when I move my eyes to the left and when I turn my head to the left. If I turn it right I see fine. They said there is nothing wrong with the eye and tested for diabetes, thyroid, myastinia gravis , b-12 deficency, anything else you can think of. All normal. I also experience left side weakness mostly and I figured that I would always have some kind of weakness with the surgeries. They have done 2 brain mri's which are within normal limits and now the neuro wants me to have a cervical MRI because he thinks I might has spinal compresion between C5-8. He says all of this wouldn't cause the vision problems and is sending me to a neuro opthamologist to see what is going on with the eye.
I am hoping that there won't be another surgery, but I am scared. I just read through this and it all sounds crazy! But would apreciate any response if anyone has experienced the same things. Thank you so much for reading all of this.
