Upadate: mri Friday and surgery - Spinal Cord Disorders Message Board

Well, now I can't stand due to pulling out my lower back Monday. Neuro in Tn reviewed my old records and wants me in asap. Finallly!!! someone is listening!!! I had to get the ball rolling, I guess this recent low back issue got attention. I can not stand yet but bent over get around. I tend to suffer in silence, but can't any longer. Now just waiting til I see the new neuro in Tn and go from there. Got to see which is more immediate to operate on the upper or lower? I think the non fusion will be first? I have faith and believe this was my wake up call not to suffer any more. Even without insurance I am using other resources, my health is more important.

Well I guess we are in the same boat. I had acdf 3levels in Dec 2004 and the back of my neck hurts badly when I try to stay on the computor too long. My doc is in Nashville and I have another appointment in June. My lower back has had 2 surgeries from 2 other docs and now is hurting severly again. I can't even help my wife do laundry, weedeat or anything where I have to stand or hold something out in front of me. My n/s doesn't want to do mri until my neck is resolved so I have to get refills of pain meds every 15 days. I hope yours is resolved quicker than mine.. Good luck...
