Ello UB, Gee, I thought you were going to ask me something exciting like how to catch a 5 metre crocodile! Drains are tubes they insert in the operation site so that there is no build up of blood and gunk inside the incision. They are attached to a bottle next to your bed. Worth asking the surgeon to put them in nice and straight so the come out easily, dont know how long they are but must be a few inches. As I said it didn't hurt a bit last time but the first time was a different story...felt like a noose on the inside of my neck with a big grappling hook at the end and fishing barbs along the side! Had a mail nurse remove it who didn't want to do it so he must have been a novice. Worth mentioning but don't stress over it...
That sticky plaster!!!!! there has got to be a better way! Sound like a sook don't I.
Gee I'm feeling good after the op... I'm dangerous!!! Wooo Hooo.
Hugz.
