Hey guys,

For those that dont know me I'm 3 days post-op from C5/6/7 posterior fusion, Also removed 2(C-7) screws from anterior plate ( ACDF C-4/7 4-2004)Also used my bone from right rear hip which was a suprise, He was going to do an exray and find the best site in the front as I've had both sides rear used before, But he was hoping to harvest up front. I'll find out in 2 weeks

Anyway,I feel pretty darn good considering. There's almost no pain from the hip which was another suprise. Everything I've heard lately says it's painful, goes to show how different we all are, huh? Also very little to complain about from the anterior site, I got a nice smile going most of the way across my neck, he went through the other side to remove the screws Amazingly, I can swallow better, Most of you know I had a couple loose screws in there. That could be all in my head (pun intended) , but I'm gonna go with it.

The posterior site is DEFINITELY tender, OMG. But it has improved steadily giving me reason to be optomistic!!!!!!!

As we all know, stuff is gonna happen. I'll do an update sometime

The thing that gets me though, I had 3 different incisions, was under for 4.5 hours, and was released in 32.5 hours after the surgery. Wild

I also want to thank all my buds on here for your support, it made a big difference.

Hi MB:
Glad to hear that you are recovering nicely from your cervical surgery. Do you find that the posterior approach to your surgery was better than the anterior approach? I am having a multi level surgery and when having it before they did it from the front.

dang, do you have any parts left that haven't been poked, prodded or carved upon?

though amazed you were released so quickly, glad to hear you're at home and doing as well as you are. i'll be thinking good thoughts & hope to hear soon of steady improvement.

Mike - glad to hear from you - hang in there -- you say your incision is side to side? My posterior incision is up and down, but then I had multiple levels worked on.

Good to hear your doing well. That sounds like a heck of a surgery. 4.5 hours! Mine was like 2. You had a lot of stuff they had to fix tho.

Keep us posted on how your doing.
