I'll try to make this short but may be lenghty as I will be replicating my MRI results for your opinoins. Two years ago I had an ACDF anterially with my bone for the graft and hardware. Now I have the same problems and worse. Legs, arms shoulder, blades, hands and fingers going to sleep and substancial neck pain. Right leg dosn't work right. To make matters worse, during surgery I had an infarction to my left paraspinal muscle that destroyed half my left lower back muscle. Doctors can't figure this one out. Anyway:
There is desiccation, with mild to moderate disc height loss predominately at C3-4, indicating disc generation.

C2-3 There appears to be marked to moderate facet joint joint degeneration on the left, resulting in at least mild forminial stenosis, which appears stable.

C3-4 In addition to the preiously identified irregular broad-based disc protrussion/osphyte complex, there appears to be a new right paramidline 4mm in height disc protrusion with asociated annular tear., resulting in mild flattening of the right cord, and overall mild to moderate canal stenosis, which appears increased. There is moderate right and marked left neural foramina, secondary to unconvertebral and facet joint degeneration, which is greater on the left. Stable.

C4-5 There is mild irregular broad based disc protrusion/ostephyte complex, resulting in mild canal stenosis without obvious cord impingment. There is mild right and moderate to marked left facet joint degeneration as well as bilateral unconvertable joint degeneration, as well as bilateral unconvertebral joint degeneration, left greater than right. There is moderate right and moderate to marked left neural stenosis, which appears increased on the left since the the prior exam.

C5-6 (operated on 2 years ago) There is mild to moderate canal stenosis, secondary to irregular dorsal disc protrusion/osteopyte complex. There is volume loss and mild myeomalacia of the right aspect of the cord, though there is no contact of the cord by osteophytes. There is moderate bilateral neural forminal narrowing secondary to unconvertebral and facet joint degeneration, which appears stable.

C6-7 (operated on 2 years ago) There is an irregular dorsal disc protrusion/osteophte complex, left greater than right. Overall. there is only minimal canal stenosis. There is moderate, left greater than right, neural formanal stenosis, predomintely secondary to unconvertebral joint degeneration, stable.

I will not go back to the original ortho guy and just finished up with a NS who talked on his cell phone while examing me. He's out. Have another appt. w/ a NS in January. Well any insight as to my condition would be appriciated. I don't understand all this gobblygook.
