Lightbulb Ringing in your Ears?

Has anyone on here had constant ringing in your ears associated with a cervical problem? If so........if you had surgery, did the surgery (such as ACDF) cure the ringing in your ears......even if it was some time after surgery....I have a constant ringing & having surgery and just wondering .....I have mentioned this to my nuero but never really got an answer.......

I have read that some meds can cause the ringing but I was wondering about the neck...........I also have cord compression.........Thanks

Re: Ringing in your Ears?

Yes, I had ringing in my ears and no doctor seemed familiar with that symptom. I had C5-6 and C6-7 ACDF without plating and donor bone 6/30/04. Also taking high levels of ibuprofen can cause ringing in the ears.

Funny,
I thought that was the telephone!
Actually I've had clicking in my ears. I figure its the vitamin D. Someone just came out with a report saying Vit D can prolong hearing.
I have ringing when I take aspirin.

Re: Ringing in your Ears?

I too have ringing in my ears and have had for years. I never associated with the cervical problem. I thought my was probably allergies. I do not take alot of NSAIDS (I am allergic to Ibuprofen) and am taking absolutely none now til fusion occurs. I have had a burning tongue for years and it has subsided somewhat since my surgery. Nerves are a funny thing, you never know what they will do to you.
