Today is some sort of turning point.......9 days out from 2 level with hardware and used my own bone.........The neck has never bothered me, pre surgery problems gone, post op throat problems gone, hip incision is still pretty tender but not real painful....
I still can't get real comfy sleeping but I am sleeping with the aid of benydryl, which is also helping with MY HIVES.......the allergic reaction to the vancomycin I had in pre op is still with me.......That reaction caused massive hives from top of my head to my feet and in my mouth....the doc said I probably have them inside also......have been swishing liquid benydryl in my mouth and swallowing.
If my tongue didn't hurt and could get more comfortable with this collar all would be right in my world. But "this too shall pass".......
