Re: intra-muscular stimulation Sue are you there?

I have had it 3 times so far. On Thurs. when I went to P.T. she felt around my upper body and said she didnt think I needed it. THAT WAS A FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!. She did a couple, after feeling around some more. But I found that extremely encouraging. I am hurting today because last night I went out to dinner with 10 friends and sat there for 3 hours happily drinking my large margarita. But I am thinking that alot of the pain might be from weak muscles in the upper back. P.T. is starting me on upper back exercises with the machines. Hopefully it will help. So, I do think the IMS is helping. I think if you have bad spasms, its worth trying.

Re: intra-muscular stimulation Sue are you there?

Thanks for the info. This is the one proceedure I have not done and boy Ithought I had done them all! Keep us posted. I have been to two Physical therapists yet neither had put me on a machine. A lot of shoulder pinches for weak upper neck and back muscles. I have a large home gym so I am curious.

Re: intra-muscular stimulation Sue are you there?

I have the same shoulder pinches (by the shoulder blades). I am thinking that the strengthening can only help...but going very very light and not rushing any upping of the weights. So far it hasnt flaired me up worse. Time will tell.
