Severe Back pain, can anyone help? - Spinal Cord Disorders Message Board

Hello, I am really stuggling with severe pain in my upper back, mainly around my left shoulder. I have had the pain for several years and the only diagnosis I have been given is hypermobility in my whole back. However, another specialist said this was incorrect but gave no further diagnosis. The pain only seems to be getting worse and worse. I am currently taking 60mg of Dihydrocodeine and 30mg of Amitriptiline and they are no longer having any effect.
Recently over the last couple of weeks the pain has developed and also become more acute on my left shoulder region. I now suffer from shooting pains down my left arm and left leg.
Can anybody help me?

Wecome to the boards, sorry I can't help you with this one, is totally different than what I have, I hope that someone her can help you or atleast direct you to someone who can. Good luck, sorry you are in so much pain, atleast everyone here understands that. Usta
