I once posted here in 2001, when I had cervical disc problems and ended up with C4-C5 disc replacement with plate & screws. Everyone was so helpful and supportive. I was very thankful for that.
I recently(week ago) fell off a 16-17 hand high horse
. I landed on my back, hit and bruised the right side of the top of my head, neck didn't feel so great and still doesn't. Neither does my back. Anyway....NO I didn't go to the hospital and get x-rays. If figured I could still move(be it slowly and HATE hopitals)I was ok. Dumb, I know. I KNOW I have a couple more ruptured discs from the fall. I can FEEL them. One is right between my shoulder blades making my shoulder VERY painful. Just yesterday I started feeling that FAMILIAR left-sided pain and stiffness I used to get before I had my disc replacement, same place.
Does anyone know how well plate and screws hold up if you are injured from a fall?
