Hello,
I am new to this. I was diagnosed with this a week ago and still trying process all the info. I saw the neurologist yesterday and was told I need to have surgery to relieve pressure. I have a neurosurgeon appointment Thursday and am frightened.

I was wondering does anyone have any good references for neurosurgeons in the DC, MD or VA area. Please share I am desperate.

Hello - I just wanted to say that there are a couple of chiari specific support boards. ***REMOVE**As I'm sure you know, it's important to pick a surgeon with lots of experience. The folks on those boards will be able to give you a recommended list. Best wishes -
