 spinal cord compression
I had an epidural for pain last July and although I came of the Warfarin for 6 days,they did'nt test my INR levels on the day and I ended up in A and E for 17 hours before some Doc decided I ought to have an MRI scan.This showed that a blood clot had formed on the spinal cord,I was tranferred to intensive neuro ward and had an op later that day,but my cord had been compressed for over 25 hours I now have nerve damage.Has anyone any advice or have you been through anything simular I don't know how long the resulting damage will last,I have to self catheterise twice daily and keep getting infections as my brain dos'nt receive clear messages on when to empty the bladder or to empty it completly.Last night I had an ultrasound of the kidneys and it showed I had scarring on the left kidney,I also have very severe pain in my right foot,it feels like tight rubber bands all the time can anyone offer advice please,all the best to everyone on this site.
