C3 and C4 problems
When turning my head (mostly to the left) I get the oddest sound in my ears. To describe it would be similar to a hissing sound, and it comes in twos. When I place fingers tightly on the back of my neck, or the top of the spine, and turn quickly I don't get this ssss, ssss sound. I know that I definitely have disc degeneration. However, these hissing noises are quite annoying. I am extremely active, walking, dancing etc. I have had an MRI of my head to rule out any ear, or any other problems that one could have in that area that would cause any unusual sounds. I was just told today that my MRI on my head came out perfectly. It was that doctor that suggested that I get a full spine MRI to find out what the problem could be. I have also been to an ear doctor just to make sure that everything in that area was as it should be...and it was....hearing just fine..etc This hissing sound definitely eminates from my neck, mainly the part of the neck at the very bottom of your head where you have that little deep valley right in the middle of the back of your neck. I can also get the same sound when I clench my teeth together...only on the left side...and this area just one hissing noise...does not come in twos.
