Talking ACDF, throat problem

How long does it take before the feeling like something is in your throat goes away? I dont know which is worse my neck pain or my throat.

Re: ACDF, throat problem

Estella, it takes several weeks for things to settle down in there. You have to give things time. Please take it easy. I didn't really feel very good for at least 4 weeks after my surgery. Your throat will get better. You have been through a lot, so it will take time to heal.

Re: ACDF, throat problem

hey estella, I had a 2 level acdf done on the 5th of this month and that feeling went away for me around 7 days after surgery. Some take longer though on this I've been told. minstrel is right because I am almost 2 weeks post op- will be tomorrow and only now am feeling better.
