reversed cervical lordosis

Is there anyone on this site presently who has reversed cervical lordosis AFTER cervical fusion?

Re: reversed cervical lordosis

How much was fused? If only a couple of vertebrae are fused then the rest of the neck can certainly develop kyphosis(opposite of lordosis). In fact, fusion predisposes you to developing cervical kyphosis as once you fix 2 vertebrae in place it puts extra stress on the vertebra above and below and they frequently slip out of place. It happens almost routinely with laminectomies. I developed it after having a laminoplasty which unlike a laminectomy closes the back of the vertebra and is supposed to be more stable. Nope! Subluxated(partial dislocation) C3 to C7 within 3 months of surgery. Now I'm fused from C3 to T1 and have developed problems at T1-2(and a possible bone infection but that's another whole problem).

Sorry you have to have more problems. What is planned to fix it?

Jenny
