Can EPIDURALS cause spine or nerve damage?

Ever since I had an epidural three years ago, Ive had twitching in random parts of my body to the point where it drives me insane and at one point drove me to depression. I also have lower back pain from time to time.

Ive gone to a medical doctor who specializes in homeopathy therapy and after examining me and gathering facts, he concluded I had nerve damage and a misalignment in my spine (L5) section. He recommmended I see a specialist and get image resonance therapy which is pretty costly.

Could something like an Epidural cause this much pain and misfortune?
Are there any alternative methods to treat or cure this condition.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Can EPIDURALS cause spine or nerve damage?

I had epidurals and had some problems right after them that I didn't have before, but different than yours. I had a large herniated disk, L 4-5, and pain going down my left hip, down my leg, and walked with a limp, with my foot turned out. After the shots, it was like the shots partially shrunk the disk, but unevenly, because depending on how I sat, it would change sides and the symptoms would be on my right side. The shots did not help me and I ended up having surgery in the end. I would suggest going to a neurologist and having your back checked out. I don't know the reason for you having the shots, and only have experience with a herniated disk, but if you have had no back problems before this, it could be the cause. Good luck to you.
