Tethered cord?
Hi,
I had surgery this past June for tethered cord. I am still have proublems like low back pain, swelling and cramps in legs aslo left legs feels tired. Well i went back to the dr. last week all he said is that he wants to wait 2 years before does anything then he will do another MRI. That seems like along time to me sence this can retether. Has anyone had this proublem? I you could give me a idea on what to do now that would be great. Thanks stephanie

Hi Stephanie,
I don't even know what tethered cord means, but it sounds pretty serious...If I were you, I'd get another opinion...Look around and try to go to the best available (and you may need to try a few, like I did...) But, I think you need a better answer than wait 2 years...It just seems obvious to me.But, I'm no expert,so you should talk to someone who IS...OK? Take care and look out for YOURSELF!

I totally agree with Lizzie. Get a second opinion. By the way, what is a tethered cord? Sounds like a torn cord.?
