Red face Just got home from surgery
Had ACDF surgery on C5-7 yesterday. Have horrible pain in my shoulders, back, and back of neck. The PM clinic I was going to has shut down and I have nothing but Percocet 5/325.

Is it ok to use a heating pad on my neck, back, and shoulders? I am ready to pull my hair out at this point. The only instructions my doc gave me was to not drive for a week and to take the dressing off in 2 days. He used a titainium mesh cage on me and I have no collar.

No collar seems odd, but I've never had surgery like yours so what do I know. I'm sure since it was just done yesterday, that it's perfectly normal pain. Have you called your doctor with your concerns? I do hope you feel better soon. ~Hugs, Kenzi!

I haven't called yet. Since it is the eve of a holiday, I figured that I wouldn't get anyone to answer my questions. I will just wait until Thursday to call. Thanks, Kenzi! Hugz to you too!
