| Re: C1-C7 Neck Fusion Surgery
There should be the radiologists report that is always at the end of the pages that basically outlines everything.
It does seem odd that it will say no stenosis or narrowing on the MRI but then on the CT....
When did you have those done? As in, I'm wondering why they are doing them again so soon.
Anytime there is a fusion...it puts more direct pressure on the discs above and below. So that is why I have severe herniations at C7-T1 and L3-L4 and L4-L5...My cervical fusions are C5-C6 and C6-C7...So we are waiting and using non surgical methods to treat.
I didn't see if you answered if they have you on nerve pain meds? Muscle relaxers? Opiates? To treat any severe pain you are having? Obviously the nerve pain medicine is best in these cases.
And I'll have to go back and read but I guess they have tried numerous injections?
I would have them give you percentages of severity and make sure you have loads of literature of the risk that continues to double/triple, etc. for every level fused. As Web mentioned...if they do 6 levels than I can't imagine ever driving again.
