| Spine curves inward between shoulder blades.
I'm trying to find out more information about the condition my brother has regarding his spine. I am able to find a lot of information regarding scoliosis (which he has) and about kyphosis (which he does not have.)
In addition to scoliosis, the top part of my brother's spine (between his shoulder blades) curves inward, so severely, in fact, that he often complains about chest and heart pain.
I can't find any information on what this deformity is called.
Has anyone else come across this disorder?
I believe that the curvature in his spine may be pressing up against a nerve in his stomach, which may be the cause of my brother experiencing a significant amount of pain in his stomach every day. He has troubles eating because of the pain he often feels.
We are currently looking for doctors in the Long Beach area who specialize in these types of disorders. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know.
Thank you for your help!
