Not sure about that type of fusion but I began having balance issues and even menstrual whackiness after injuring my neck which really didn't hurt despite a slightly herniated disc. I wanted a resolution to the tingling between my shoulder blades that still hasn't been solved so I let the doc do a fusion with titanium plate and screws at C5-6 and am now living hell on earth since from feeling like I am having a heart attack when lying on back only, vision changes, more headaches. The symptoms have worsened since a nasty whiplash as well.
