Trying to understand csm

December 2011 i noticed that my foot dragged when i walked. Immediately was told to get a walking aid to prevent falls. I was not feeling any pain. Had mri's done. Seen orthopedic doctors etc. Finally got in to see nuerologist and he explained mri findings. Had sevrre hyperrelexes, severe clonus. Was told that my csm was do severe tjat i needed surgery asap. Severely herniated disc, bone spurs, and bulging discs. Had the surgery. Still walk with my left leg dragging. Shaking legs, rls. Some weakness un my right leg and numb thumb to this day 8 months after surgery. Recently my right arm has some pain and periodically neck pain. Will this stay with me?

Walking with the cane causes lower back pain. Cant walk long distances so taking my kids to the zoo is out and they are still young.

Advice is appreciated.
