| To collar or not to collar. That is the question.
So recently I got a couple of surgical consultations regarding another level that needs ACDF.
When I had my first surgery four years ago I had a three level done and was in a hard collar for four weeks.
I'm surprised to have had two out of three surgical consults that tell me that for the one level I need done (beneath my three level fusion) they would not collar me as they don't feel it would be necessary.
Are surgeons moving away from hard and soft Collars post op? What have you guys experienced?
