Redo ACDF from 14 mos ago

So I had acdf with allograft 15 months ago with NS. She did not believe in collor
Theory. The pain did get better at some point, it got worse with more numbness in arms/hands at about the 3 month mark. I have had EMG and Myelograms to confirm. My new doc has me scheduled for surgery this Thursday for possible 3 level instead of 2 level last year. I will be in a hard collar 24/7 for 3 months and no raising me hands over head for 6 weeks. He is also using autograft. Very different schools of thought. Well, now it's Christmas, 2 days before surgery and I have bronchitis possibly pneumonia going on. Fever was 101.7 so I took some Motrin. Fever broke but will most likely need antibiotics. Of course, trying to get this end before the year over due to insurance. Any thoughts? Super healthy 44yr old woman with a "skinny long neck". Shoulda tried out for that swan part in the school play!!

Did you call and let surgeon know about illness? Sorry your having to have a second surgery!

Pam
From another super healthy skinny Long neck (the nurses loved it and they ended up putting me in a child's collar) who is 2.5 weeks into recovering from surgery

I am really happy to hear that they can redo a afdc!!!!, I had mine a year ago and it has failed, my surgeon said to come back in 6 months and we would have to talk about another procedure, but if an afdc can be redone maybe I should just look at seeing another doctor???
