I don't know what I can offer to you other than I, too, have had some foot numbness/tingling. The ER doc was baffled. He diagnosed me as having severe muscle spasm of the trapezius and didn't consider a disk issue.
I'm not sure what to make of the foot thing.. it happens when my pain elevates a lot.
Connie, Your Doctor is right. Neck problems would not cause the direct problem with your foot.
However, neck problems do contribute to bad posture or compensation and strain from other parts of the body that then create attendant problems in other parts of the body.
Getting the neck tended may or may not help because the part of the body affectung the foot appears to now be doing it's own independant problem. So you would need to address both problems.
It could be that back problem you mentioned.
I have problems with my feet when my Colon is having spasms.
The colon spasms have been severe enough to throw my lower spine out.
There are so many complex factors that contribute to pain.
Hi, according to my MRI, I have bulging at c3-4 and c4-5 with protrusion at c5-6 and c6-7 with moderate cord compression. I have weakness, numbness and tingling in my left arm and my left hand is completely numb. In the beginning, I just had the tingling and numbness in my hand. When I sit, the top of my left foot starts to tingle and it goes to sleep. I don't have any problems with my right side. I am scheduled to see a Neurologist on the 24th and a Neurosurgeon on the 1st of next month.
