Hello,
As many of you know I am awaiting surgery. I go for pre op Wed . Have any of you ever felt that your swallowing is different? My neck is so sore feel like its benn squished. I havent dont anything to do this. Must be a new pain!

Lori,
"Hi" from another Hoosier (originally)! I don't know what the sore throat is before surgery, but I would definitely call your doctor's office on Monday and give them the heads up about it. If you are getting sick, you do not want (and your doctor will not want) to do surgery. It will be frustrating if it's postponed, but you will not be the only one to which it has happened here in the past 2 weeks. Your overall health is critical, so please address concerns to the doc.

Hi Lori,

I agree with wr, call your doc sooner rather than later. If you are coming down with something try an nip it before it goes too far and you get rescheduled.

Could it perhaps be a muscle spasm?

Thanks for the reply. It must be the muscles in my neck. I dont have a sore throat at all. Surgery isnt until April 22. Keep your fingers crossed he will up it!!!!!! I feel like one of those dogs in the window of a car! My neck feels like it is stickin out!!!! LOL Ready to get this over with!!!
