Haven't been on lately. My husband had back surgery a week ago and I have been nursing him, because the hospital made me take him home. (smile) I really would have rather left him a few more weeks.
MEN---you guys are such babies. I made the mistake of telling him he had 42 staples in his back. Dumb me.
Seriously, he hasn't been feeling too perky and he was so good and patient with me. I'm a terrible nurse.
Back to me. My incision is beginning to fade considerably. Barely noticable. I can still feel a small ridge, but the pipe clear (caterpiller) look is gone. I've been sleeping on an air mattress in my bedroom so my husband could have the bed to himself and that hasn't been too comfortable. I use to love to sleep on this mattress, but it doesn't give enough for my neck and shoulders so I wake up stiff and sore.
Other than that, I'm back to work and feeling good. I still get a burning sensation across my shoulders if I sit too long at the computer.
Just thought I'd check and and tell those behind me in recovery that life does return to normal eventually.
Catherine---small children certainly would make recover time harder. Here is a cyber hug.

You & your hubby certainly make quite the pair eh?!
I remember last year when my mother(Maureen) broke her ankle & needed a screw inserted; & 1 month later my father(John) had knee replacement done. Well, my mother's best line out of that whole ordeal; "What has 2 heads, 2 leg's & drink's way too much?" John & Maureen.!!!

I am still fighting the good fight. Been out of sorts lately........but finally feeling somewhat better today! I sure could use a vacation/holiday!!
My son is vying for some computer time; I had best let him play one of his games before the tantrum begins!! Nice to hear that you are well on your way.
