Midge, my fellow Michiganian, I don't know what time you are scheduled for the myelogram. I do recall being told not to eat or drink anything in the morning. They didn't give me anything to "relax" me, I would think because they want you to move your head around so dang much.
You might want to double check your instructions to be safe.
They kept bringing me food (cereal, juice, crackers) in the recovery room. No nausea problem here! Just remember to lay down for at least 24 hours, and keep a pitcher of water right next to you! No nasty headaches allowed.
