My severe pain flucuates from my neck to my arm. (a few days my severe pain is in my right neck/shoulder area, the next few days it is my right arm). Does anyone else have pain that flucuates like this? Your response will be so helpful.

ps. My previous neuro doc wrote that my pain was non organic in nature because it flucuates like this.
I can't stand it.

My pain before surgery did the same exact thing. All I can say, try as I might, I could never figure out why. What I did one day to the next, etc... it just changed. Think alot of folks here had the same problem... we'll see.

How are you hon?
Yes my pain fluctuates also, can be that really deep disc pain, can be electric pain in arms and legs( although its more numbness and rigidity nowadays),can be spasm, or neuropathic, but yes the pain fluctuates. And that does not make it non-organic. I think non-organic is maybe the i dont want to deal with this, brush off. I was told the same thing by the ins. co. docs. , but I did the full psych exam and testing. And guess what, findings were that I was not suffering from any psyc. related symptoms, but reacting appropriatly to the medical situation.

Hi Charlotte,

My pain also flutates from left side head, neck and arm to often the following day the same on the right. Sometimes it left with right headache or right neck and arm. Mine is dicogenic and I think it makes sense for one side to be painfull and be compensated for by the other and so switch. It is frustrating! and for me it seems to be one side or the other. THANKS FOR THE INPUT. I HOPE OTHERS WILL REPLY. I THINK I JUST NEEDED SOME REASSURANCE BECAUSE THESE DOCS ARE PLAYING WITH MY MIND. SURELY THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO PEOPLES LIVES. I WILL BE GLAD WHEN THIS NIGHTMARE IS OVER.

MEL, IT STILL BLOWS MY MIND THAT YOU'VE HAD TO PUT UP WITH THIS FOR THREE YEARS. ARE YOU GETTING ANY CLOSER TO RESOLVE WITH YOUR NEW LAWYER? I THINK I'M GOING TO TRY A DIFFERENT LAWYER; ONE IN MY HOME TOWN THAT KNOWS ME. I AM CURIOUS TO KNOW WHAT HE THINKS ABOUT THIS MESS. I SAW HIM AT THE FAIR THE OTHER NIGHT AND HE TOLD ME TO BRING MY MRI AND MYLEO REPORTS BY.

I WENT BY THE HOSPITAL TODAY TO GIVE THEM MY RESIGNATION. I EXPLAINED MY SITUATION TO THE CCU AND 3-5 SUPERVISOR. THEY TOOK ME TO HUMAN RESOURCES TO SEE IF THEY COULD FIND A JOB FOR ME THAT DIDN'T REQUIRE LIFTING. THEY SAID THERE MAY BE A CASE MANAGEMENT JOB OR SIMILAR THAT MIGHT COME OPEN. THEY ARE GOING TO PUT EMAILS OUT TO ALL THE SUPERVISORS TO SEE IF THEY CAN FIND ME SOMETHING. I ONLY WORKED THERE 4 MONTHS BEFORE I GOT HURT SO IT HELPED MY BRUISED EGO THAT THEY WOULD PUT FORTH THE EFFORT TO FIND ME A POSITION. ALSO THE ONCOLOGIST THAT I USE TO WORK FOR WANTS ME TO COME WORK AT LEAST PRN THIS SUMMER. I THINK I AM GOING TO TRY TO WORK MORE AFTER GIVING MYSELF ANOTHER MONTH OF MY CHIROPRACTOR AND SWIMMING THERAPY. WE WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS. I WONDER IF THIS WILL JUST KEEP PROGRESSING IF I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING DONE. IT SEEMS YOURS DID. I GUESS I WILL JUST LIVE EACH DAY AS IT COMES. STAY STRONG MY FRIEND
