Post tingling &numbness

Does anyone have any thoughts on this. For last 2 weeks have had numbness and tingling down both arms to fingers and down both legs to toes. This started after second epideral.Have been waiting for a week for NS to call with appointment.PM Doc faxed papers to him week ago.Wondering if I should just sit and wait or call NS and tell of change or wait it out.Maybe I should contact PM.

Hi Magtize,
I would call the NS!! but that's me.
I have always been a polite bi**h!!

Remember, this is not a dress rehearsal. You have every right to call.
I called my NS. so often prior to surgery & then afterwards~~~~~~well, let's just say I am sure they were prepared to install a private line. They were always very patient with me ( a role reversal!!)
& if you don't ask, then they don't know.

Be polite, but be persistent!!

If I do not hear that you have called soon......
well, I will just have to remind you eh?!

Participate in your own recovery babe!!

Until later, I remain, in PT.
Catherine

I would be on the phone insisting on talking to or seeing the NS right away. Obviously something happened to cause a sudden change like that and the NS needs to know about it ASAP. I'm curious as to whether they did your injection using a fluoroscope or not. Those done without it have a much lower percentage of liklihood of being injected in the right place. I had 2 of the injections in my C7 area. On the 2nd one my lower lip and chin went numb for about 3 days. They insisted it was not related to my injection, but since that's the only thing that had taken place in that time period relating to my spine, I find that very difficult to believe. I ultimately decided against a 3rd injection, partly because I wasn't getting any benefit from it, and also because of that incident. I had lost confidence in the pain mgmt doc at that point. They had a different resident in training giving injections every time I went, and I didn't get a good feeling about it, since I could tell they were almost as nervous as I was! That didn't do much for relaxing me!!

Hi,
sorry to hear about the increased symptoms. You did the right thing by calling the NS. No appt. til Aug? Did you leave the message about increased symptoms? I always make sure they know to notify the doc. about changes.
Hopefully your PM will call real soon, and take charge.
Best wishes, Mel
