3-day post op - Spinal Cord Disorders Message Board

HI EVERYONE! THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR PRAYERS AND GOOD WISHES. I JUST NOW READ THEM. THEY MUST HAVE WORKED BECAUSE THE SURGERY WENT VERY WELL. THERE WERE NO COMPLICATIONS AND DOC SAID I LOOKED VERY HEALTHY. THIS IS THIRD DAY AND I AM PRETTY SORE BUT NEW TO EXPECT THAT FROM READING ALL OF YA'S POSTINGS. RECLINER IS WORKING OUT GREAT TOO. I AM SO HAPPY TO BE THROUGH THE SURGERY. IT WAS NOT AS BAD AS I THOUGHTIT WOULD BE. MY BIGGEST PROBLEM IS GETTING OUT OF THE RECLINER. DOC SAID NOT TO LET ANY PULL ME UP. I HAVE TO ROLL TO ONE SIDE AND PUSH UP WITH MY ARMS. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS TUFF BECAUSE OF THE BACK AND SHOULDER PAIN. WELL BETTER GO IT'S ABOUT THAT TIME FOR MEDS. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF YOU, YOU HAVE MADE MY SURGERY AND RECOVERY MUCH EASIER JUST KNOWING YA UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH.

WILL WRIGHT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I am so pleased to hear from you , and that your surgery went well. Each day will get better ,and a few weeks from now you will be amazed at the improvement.

So happy thing went good with surgery.It had to with everyone rooting for ya. Now just remember to take it slow and easy.

Hi Paula,

That's great your doing well! You must be pleased the surgery is over. How are you finding the pain? Do you find you need many pain meds still? I am very nervous about my sugery next month. I hope you keep doing better and better soon. Keep updating us I like to follow your progress. Take care,
