Post Glucosimine does it help you??

Just wondering....I have been using Glucosimine since ~1997 off and on. I have found that I usually get worse if/when I go off it. when I am on it it is not that dramatic. I hear that it is finally recognised by the establishment and has been found to be one of the only builders of cartiledge after an injury.
(note caution if you are allergic to shellfish as it is derived from crusteceans and shark cartiledge)

I have a theroy and pardon me if I sound presumptuous but I think that gulcosomine has a "carrier" that supports the healing of cartiledge and that if that "carrier" could be isolated then we could concentrate it and everyone could use it.
It is after all a sugar plus an amine. Any one good at pharmacology that can help me think this through??
#@$!$**anything to keep my mind off the pain!!LOL,sk

Hi Scottie,

Sorry I can't answer your questions but I thought I'd bump this up in case it got missed.

With regards to your other post on Paula's thread about convincing your family you can do it...Please don't let that deter you...My buddy has just opened a used book store (in April this yr) and I have been there every day since day one helping out...both of our families and some friends have not had much faith in our being successful...Well, we are proving to them that our faith in ourselves and our determination to make this dream come true IS going to make this a sucess...We have made money each and every day since day one...and our daily total is increasing steadily...our customers are thrilled with everthing we are doing...we have many steady customers already...Today was a record day for us...Woo hoo...Please believe in yourself...you really can make this dream come true...you don't need to have others believe in you...it's hard sometimes for other people to see your dream the way you see it...they can't get into your mind...so maybe that's why it's hard for them to have as much faith that it can come to be...Show them your dream (help them see it) by making it come true.

It's really late and I've been pushing myself too hard lately so I hope this makes sense...I would just love to see you make this dream happen for yourself...Best of luck...Talk to ya soon...I really need to go to bed...Night

Joanne

Years ago, I was diagnosed with Lymes Disease. I went to different doctors and ended up going to a Rheumatologist who in turn said the Lymes had caused Arthritis in my knees and left shoulder. After much physical therapy that didn`t really help much, I tried Glucosamine (GS-500) . After about a month, I noticed a major improvement. In fact, many others I told my story to have also used Glucosamine for arthritis with excellent results. I hope this helps others that suffer from this terrible condition.

Hi Scottie,

I find glucosamine, chronditon and MSM helps me a little. I have a torn disc c5/6 and figure since people have been helped with torn cartilage in knees (my mum and a no of friends)it may also help discs. So far I have noticed improvement but I need to keep it up 3 times a day and in large doses to get benefits.

Mel
