Hi everyone,
I am home after sucessful ADR op on wednesday morning. My husband was goimg to post how I was doing but he had horrid flu and had to stay in bed.
I was rather terrified especially waiting outside theatre for 45 mins but after the anesthetic all was good and I awoke with the NS telling me all went really well. I was really uncomforatble amd threw up alot after. I was on morphine so that helped the pain yet I think it made me sick also. I had a drain takem out of my throat that had nothing in it anyway and felt better without that big tube.
My mum looked after me in hospital which was fantastic and poor DH had to sit by the door with his flu wearing a surgical mask. The nurses were slow with meds and kept saying how about panadol which was driving me up the wall but otherwisw it's good to ne home.
I have a headache. Anyone else have headaches after?
and some neck/shoulder blade pain but not too bad. The throat is the worst and swallowing.
Glad to be back and will rest now. Hope everyone is doing well.

Also disc bulges c3/4 and 6/7. Numerous facet and nerve blocks along with extensive conservative treatment prior to surgery.

I am going into my 4th week post op. I had a horrendous headache after surgery. I am still getting some. (I also had them before my surgery).
I'm glad you're back and doing well. I didn't have a headache afterwards. I just remember being very nauseous and weak. Do you think you could also have a touch of your husband's flu? I hope you're able to rest and drink plenty of fluids.

Boy, When it rains it pours. Hope your hubby is better. Both of you can just lay around and heal up.

glad someone else had a headache aswell. I guess it's the whole invasiveness of the procedure, spine and all. Hopr your recovering well. Has the headache gone?
