I have never taken any painkillers. Not before or after my surgery. I am much better at dealing with pain than the feeling you get when you take painkillers. I went to my NS today. He said that the level above my surgery C4-C5 on the MRI shows something abnormal. It does not clearly show what it is, so he wants me to have a Myelogram. I have talked to my two brothers who also have had cervical surgeries. I have decided not to have the myelogram. I am afraid of the dye, I am allergic to shellfish. I don't know what to do!!!!!!!! My NS doesn't want to guess what it is on the MRI. I have four levels of herniation in my neck. One level was just about the biggest my surgeon has seen. I did not have any pain on my right side ever until after my surgery. He says the abnormality is showing on the right. I really could use some advice. I have panic disorder and I really am not up to this right now. My dad was just diagnosed with cancer and my mom is having testing to see if she is having TIA's. They live with me and I take care of them. Sorry to go on, but I really could use some input right about now! Thank you!
