stress

hi i have been out of work for 7 months and with the econimy the way it is right now i have been stressing really bad. and i have notice with the stress my body has become stressed i get chest pains, neck pains, and headaches really bad i thought i had migraines i find myself having tingling in my fingers and toes and a funny feeling over parts of my body, i also find myself not breathing the way i need to i dont breath in and out like i used too. i think i shallow breath and i give myself a self talk to calm myself down but i think the stress is getting to me is there any advice you can give me?

Hi, Keke . . . all of those things sound like symptoms of anxiety which the stress for being out of work so long could have brought on.

The fact that you can self talk yourself into becoming calm is a good thing. You should check in your area to see if there are any free or low cost counseling services that help with coping strategies for anxiety that will improve your physical responses to stress.

I am trusting that you have had a physical recently and that they have not found anything that could be an underlying problem for your pains, but if not, you may want to check into low cost or free doctors you can see just to rule anything else out.

My greatest hopes for you to feel better and to get back on your feet soon.

i want to thank you for that help it comes in handy and another thing that get me through it all is i know its someone much worser off than i am right now thanks again take care.
