hey friends, im getting really freaked out here. For the last few days my abdomen region feels like its pulsating like a heartbeat, i dont notice it to much when im standing up..im 27 and dont smoke , im scared i have an aortic aneurysm, why does life have to do this to me?
I can always notice my stomach pulsating!(especially when I am in a hot bath,or even when I am nervous)Do you have an anxiety disorder,if you do then you probably are only noticing because your more sensitized to things like that.It's probably only due to your heart pumping harder and forcing the blood through your arteries a bit harder than normal.If your worried see your doctor,that is the only was you'll know for sure!Good luck!Kristi
I too can feel the beat in my abdomen. I did have this checked by my local GP - just by listening through his stethoscope. I was told that chances of being an aneurysm are highly unlikely as I am only 26.
I was told it can be common in slender people also.
I too like Kristi, feel the sensation a lot more after a hot bath or shower..
I was worried about the same thing. The pulse was sooo strong in my stomach that you could see my stomach move back and forth. The pulse was very powerful, more so than anywhere else. In fact I did end of going to the doctor and had 3 doctors take a look at it in the same day at the same office because it was very peculiar. They did say if I had a abdominal aneurysm that I would go in the Guinness book of world records as one of the youngest people ever with one. They are more common in the elderly. Anyway the ultrasound turned out fine, I think once I realized I had a pulse there it got stronger because I worried about it. If you have lower back pain or pain of any sort then I would go to the doctor if not don't worry about it.
I have always had a pulse in my stomach area. My exboyfriend couldn't even lay his head there because it would bother him so much. The first time he felt it, he was like, "oh my God, you're pregnant" He was silly but it is very noticable.It feels like the pulse in my wrist but stronger. It is very strange, even people hugging me have felt it if they stay close long enough. I have never had it checekd out, I just always assumed it was my heart pumping blood through a vein near that area or something.So if you hear any bad news let me know!
