My new symptom of the week is I get these moments throughout the day of feeling really light headed. It's not really a dizzy feeling, cause the room doesn't spin, it's just this jolt of light headedness. Kind of like when you get off a roller coaster or swing. It happens when I am walking & when I am sitting still. Can anyone relate?
I too am lightheaded pretty much everyday. It started about 8 months ago and is still going strong. I did some research and diagnosed myself as having NMH (neurally-mediated hypotension), a condition where one's blood-pressure drops after standing for long periods or while taking a hot shower. It is usually associated with the Epstein-Barr virus or CFIDS and I had mono a little over a year ago. Maybe anxiety is the cause and not NMH. I do know that when I'm anxious or tired it does get worse. All I know is that it seems pretty common with us nervous types.
I looked up depersonalization and yes I can relate to it, but that is not what I am talking about. I get these jolts of lightheadedness, throughout the day. It almost feels like I am going to pass out.
I would ask your dr. I have sinus tachycardia and orthostatic low bp and my bp drops all the time - I feel lightheaded all the time. Sometimes I think it is from anxiety and other times I know that it is from my medical condition. Your dr. may find something else.
I, also, can relate to the depersonalization, too. I am going to look it up on the web now. Thanks.
